Language Arts Division

The Language Arts Division is a student-centered learning environment that promotes social justice and equity for all students. Our faculty and staff work diligently with students to strengthen their skills in all of the language arts - reading, writing, speaking, listening, creative and critical thinking- in an effort to develop student voices. We want students to use these skills to enhance their lives in school, work, and the world. The Language Arts Division partners with learning communities such as Umoja and Puente, and supports student groups like Change it Now (CIN) and Restorative Integrated Self Education (RISE).
